01/2008- PCG update / No more analog TV :-(

I hope everyone is off to a GREAT start for 2009. Here at EBS, we hit the ground running. We have several promotions that we are working on for the new year! We hope these promotions will help you save some money while experiencing our amazingly awesome service. Keep checking back here for more updates and cool offers. Make sure you stop by the message boards, our newest promotion will be starting soon and it involves the message boards. You might even get an unfair advantage if you start posting early.. oops :-)

We have had great response since we started the Price Cap Gaurentee (PCG) program. However, in true EBS fashion we have imporved this program. For all the details, click the PCG link above. We understand what everyone is going through right now (heck, we are going through it too) and we want to make computer service and repair affordable to everyone.

Starting Feb. 2009, you will no longer be able to pickup an analog signal for your home TV. What does this mean to you? Not too much if you subscribe to cable or to satellite TV. However, if you just use the regular outdoor antenna or the rabbit ears, you will not be able to watch television unless you upgrade your antenna.

You can read more about this and apply for a coupon for the new antenna at this website https://www.dtv2009.gov/ The site has answers to many questions about the upgrade as well. Don't wait to do this, as EVERYONE has to be changed over by 2009. Also if you know someone who doesn't have satellite or cable, please tell them about this.

12/2008- HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

We here at EBS wanted to take time out from fixing computers and say THANK YOU to everyone of our customers. You are the reason we stay in business. Not just because you pay your bill to us. We treat each and everyone of our customers like friends and family. It is a joy to help you when your computer crashes and you think you have lost all your data. The look on people's faces when their computer is up and running again is priceless. I hope we have made everyone feel a little better about computers and computing!

November is the month that we start our "You Give Back" campaign. If you mention your favorite non-profit organization (church, WAG, homeless shelter, etc...) when calling to make an appointment, we will donate 10% of your labor cost to that organization! It is a great way to raise money for your organization while getting your computer fixed!

07/2007 - Google to take over the world?

It seems that Google comes out with a new software gadget every time I turn around. The latest offering by Google is iGoogle. iGoogle is a portal that you setup to include the things you are interested in. Basically, you setup a start page that contains things like the weather for your area, or stocks, or news. Then set that start page to your default page and you no longer have to scour the web looking for information, it is all located in one centralized price. We have been using iGoogle for a while now and it has been very helpful. To check it out, click on the link www.igoogle.com. There are several other portals out there that you could try as well if you find that you don't like the Google interface. Just do a search for web portal and see what you find. Write in to us and let us know what you think of iGoogle or any portal that you are using.

06/2007 - Interesting article on why you need to wipe your hard drive:

The next time someone tries to talk you into using the services of a bunch of geeks, kindly refer them to this article HERE. This is why it is important to find a service that can meet your needs, not some major corporation that treats you and your issue as a number in a giant ticketing system. Also, don't forget to wipe your hard drive clean before getting rid of it!!

04/2007 - Removing headaches, one at a time!

Are you having problems getting your data to migrate over to Windows Vista from XP? You can download a backup/restore utility that will help your data bridge these two operating systems (this also works for backups created with server 2003).
